Workshop on Academic cooperation in sustainable Tourism

The Workshop in concomitance with BMIC conference is organized by Burapha University in collaboration with SAT Cluster on Sustainable Tourism in the framework of the Erasmus Mundus projects Swap and Transfer and One More Step to illustrate and discuss the state of art of tourism in SE Asia and investigate sustainable models of responsible tourism .
The workshop seeks to explore the manifold aspects of sustainable tourism in a multidisciplinary approach by:
- raising awareness on resources valorisation and sustainable exploitation and preservation of natural assets;
- trying to strengthen ties between research, operators and governmental actors;
- encouraging the knowledge circulation among involved sectors and
the transfer of advanced technologies developed within the University;
- promoting joint activities between Academy, Business and Social sectors
The meeting will investigate and discuss case studies and good practices aimed at fostering greater understanding and collaboration between scientists and experts, professionals and policy makers in Europe and Asia.
